Women
continue to play Russian Roulette with a “poor choice”.. the only
thing this abortion mill can offer them. Safe and legal? That’s a
lie as babies and women continue to die. Where’s the outcry?

We
had already left for the drive home from the abortion mill in
Granite City
,
Illinois
. It was Saturday, October 29th, 11:38 a.m. We received a
frantic call from the few proclaimers left standing, “Two ambulances
have pulled up to the front door of Hope Clinic,” they said. “Pray
and run to Walgreen’s and get a camera,” we instructed them.
“We’re turning the ultrasound van around and we’re heading
back”... Almost fifteen minutes had transpired when we pulled up to
the crime scene. By then, the ambulance with the patient from the
abortion clinic had already backed into the hospital emergency room
entrance and wheeled the stretcher inside. After a two hour wait, the
condition of the patient was still unknown. Yogendra Shah was the
hired-killer this day.
Back
in the 1970s legalized surgical abortion was offered as the
alternative to back-alley abortion. What’s the difference? 12 inches
of cinder block and some fresh paint. The common thought today is that
abortion is safe. Abortion proponents assured judges, legislators, and
the public that legalizing abortion would be beneficial to the health
and well-bring of American women. If abortion was legal it would
become an accepted part of mainstream medical care. What they’re not
telling you is how many abortion complications and deaths have
occurred since its legalization. Women are still being hurt both
physically and mentally across our nation, and in Granite City, IL
they are thrown on a gurney or stretcher and rushed across the street
to Gateway Regional Hospital, formerly St. Elizabeth’s, and taken
straight up to the fourth floor, bypassing the emergency room to be
admitted to a private room across from the nurses’ station. How does
Hope(less) get by with that? Because of the stigma associated with
abortion, and most abortion complications happen over the weekends
when the CEO and upper management staff are off, when they kill more
late-term babies and the volume increases..
Where’s
the outcry from all these feminist groups, NARAL or NOW who are all
about women and their rights? Why isn’t there an advocacy group for
post-abortive women who have been butchered by abortionists?
Let
alone the Health Department? Ear piercing and tattoo parlors are much
better regulated than Hope Clinic, or any abortion mill for that
matter. This mill in its 32 year history has never been inspected.
Why? When we inquired in 2003, after another horrific botched abortion
where the abortionist Alan Palmer left a golf ball size hole in a 32
year old mother of two as she lay in a pool of hemorrhagic blood and
clinging to life in the back of Hope Clinic in December 2003, the
Health Department stated that, “They’ve never received a
complaint.” How about looking into the many lawsuits of medical
malpractice and gross negligence filed in Madison County Courthouse
against Hope Clinic by plaintiffs who have survived? In
a statement by
Colorado
abortionist Warren Hern: “In medical practice, there are few
surgical procedures given so little attention and so under-rated in
its potential hazards as abortion. It is a commonly held view that
complications are inevitable.” It was thought that incompetent
butchers would no longer perform abortions and legalized abortion
would eliminate the 5-10,000 back alley abortions each year. At this
point, a coat hanger looks pretty safe.
Dr. Bernard Nathanson
conceded that these statistics were intentionally misleading. “...5,000-10,000
deaths a year. I confess that I knew the figures were totally false,
and I suppose the others did too if they stopped to think of it…”
Clearly legalized abortion has not eliminated substandard
medical care and has not kept unlicensed or incompetent butchers from
mutilating women. Rather, it has crippled women physically and
mentally. The abortion industry has refused to police itself, often
complaining that it costs too much. But if you look closely, the only
ones making money are the abortionists and the lawyers hired to
protect them. The abortion industry focuses instead on profit margins
rather than investing in women’s health and safety. Where’s the
outcry? It’s seems to me only the pro-life community cares enough to
bring this to the forefront. Psalm
9:18 “But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of
the afflicted ever perish.”
It is clear that thousands of women are being injured by
abortion each year and some of them will die. One woman rushed across
the street to the Gateway Regional Emergency Room with a punctured
uterus because the abortionist was in a hurry to complete as many
assembly line abortions as possible is one too many. One woman left
infertile because she had to undergo an emergency hysterectomy is one
too many. There is an epidemic of the walking wounded. Where’s the
outcry? The mantra of Hope Clinic is “Where there’s choice,
there’s hope”. But real hope is in our Lord Jesus Christ, not
behind big, purple doors where children are killed and mothers are
wounded. The truth is
abortion is a poor choice. Is abortion all we can offer women? Women
deserve better than abortion. Safe, legal that’s a lie, women and
babies don’t choose to die. Where’s the outcry?
Psalm
33:22 “May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put
our hope in you.”
