“Let
My babies go!”
God’s
Mail Delivered Once Again to
Granite City
Labor
Day Parade 2007
Isaiah
6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I
send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am
I.
Send me!’”

The remnant
rolled into this City of
Slaughter
for their annual Labor Day Parade full of unions, floats, bands, and
politicians. We were there to be the messengers and deliver God’s
mail once again to the hardened hearts of this doomed city.
We stood in prayer before we carried our array of signs
bearing messages concerning the child killing going on in this city
as everyone turns a blind eye towards it and continues to harden
their hearts.
A dozen police officers were waiting for us at the parade
route. They cordoned off the same area. We turned the graphic signs
around so the scripture would be seen, but it was the same message: God
cannot tolerate the shedding of innocent blood. Over 400,000
little boys and girls, future workers to fill the labor field, have
lost their lives in this grimy steel town. Once known as a boom town
for the steel industry, it now draws the undesirables from all 49
states to be killed at the late-term baby dumping mill “Hope
Clinic for Women LTD.”
Different signs, but the same hatred for those truth-tellers.
Stiff-necked Granitonians yelled at us and cursed us for being
there. This town, their officials, and the silent churches just want
to put on a nice parade. The mayor and city fathers have been
exhausting the city’s funds to revamp the dilapidated downtown
area where we stood. Notably, it is only two blocks away from the
baby slaughterhouse. Downtown
Granite City
suffered a downturn in the 1970s which vacated much of its
commercial buildings and in turn, decay began. The early 1970s was
also the same time this altar of Baal was erected. Judgment has
fallen on
Granite City
, the same as it did in
Jerusalem
when they shed innocent blood and defiled their nation
Once again, we cried out to this city as a watchman, “Wake
up
Granite City
! Arise from your slumber!” We called to the churches in this
town, “Wake up oh great
sleeper, before it’s too late.” How much more bloodshed will
pollute
Granite City
, let alone our land, and we expect the Lord to forgive? We must
realize that we reveal our hearts for God by detesting bloodshed and
wickedness.
Granite City
, you can only put so much concrete and paint on the problem. It
will look attractive on the outside, but it is full of decay and
wasting away on the inside. It is only a matter of time before its
final destruction.
“Have
we now become your enemy because we tell you the truth?” Galatians
4:16. One woman screamed at us that she “hated
us and our signs.” “They are terrible!” she yelled. “Would
you rather look at the bloody signs?” I asked her. She huffed
away. Truth is hate to those that hate the truth. Another woman
screamed, “This is a
parade, not advertising. We don’t want you here.” “We
tell you the truth because we love you and we know if you rid your
city of the evil stronghold, God can really bless you.
Granite City
cannot prosper as long as they allow child killing to go on.” The
mayor told us he “liked
these signs much more” as he passed by on his float.
The democratic judges and politicians rubber-necked us as
they strolled by us. Some bravely walked over and shook our hand and
thanked us for these signs being there. The cheerleaders marched by
us and on cue they held their ribbon topped heads downward as they
walked by. One toddler on a float could be heard saying as he
pointed to our sign, “Look
mommy, there is Jesus.” It was the sign with Jesus holding an
aborted baby in the palm of His hand. “Abortion
kills His children”.
When the
Granite City
band came by as usual, they deliberately pulled their long band
trailer in front of our group trying to cover up their dirty little
secret. What happens in
Granite City
, stays in
Granite City
...wink, wink.
Isaiah
8:11-18 “The Lord spoke with His strong hand upon me, warning me
not to follow the way of this people. He said: “Do not fear what
they fear and do not dread it. The Lord Almighty is the One you are
to regard as holy, He is the One you are to fear, He is the One you
are to dread, and He will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of
Israel He will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that
makes them fall. And for the people of
Jerusalem
He will be a trap and a snare. Many of them will stumble; they will
fall and be broken, they will be snared and captured.”
“…Here am I, and the children the Lord has given me. We
are signs and symbols in
Israel
from the Lord Almighty…”
Thank you Lord that you give us a spirit of courage and
perseverance as we stand here in the lion’s den. Let your peace
fill us, and mercy and righteousness prevail.
Just then, the group of teamsters, UAW union members, and
Steelworkers of America with a few gorillas in front looked at our
signs and laughed. I spoke up, “There’s
nothing funny about genocide. Listen knuckle-heads, there would be
more teamsters marching in this parade and in the work field had we
not aborted over 400,000 little boys and girls just here alone in
Granite City. They
were carrying hand held “Stop
child labor” fans.
“What
hypocrites,” we thought. You have to save the baby first
before you can enforce child-labor laws, which are a good thing.
One of the Union members handed me this brochure concerning
sweatshop labor and enforcing child labor laws: “Did
You Know?” The Dog and Cat Protection Act of 2000 prohibits
the importing or exporting of dog or cat fur products into the
U.S.
market. The goal of this Act is to deter the brutality and suffering
upon dogs and cats, whose fur was being used for products such as
coats that were entering the
United States
. Is it not time to extend
these same protections to human beings?
We give more protection to dogs and cats than we do to human
beings. Just ask Atlanta Falcon football player Michael Vick.
Is the Church listening? “Are
we going to be like the Christians who did nothing to help the Jews
and the Slaves?” Why is the Church so silent? Only one was
represented in this Labor Day parade.
We all bear responsibility in child killing, some more than
others. We all must put our hand to the plow. Are we willing to pick
up our cross? Jesus said to his disciples, “If
anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his
cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose
it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will
it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?
Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Matt. 16:21-26.
When will
Granite City
realize that they must get rid of this house of horrors first before
God can bless their city?
Granite City
will not prosper as long as they allow child killing to go on. God
can never bless a nation or
Granite City
where innocent blood flows throughout their washboard streets. God
is calling us to expose the lies that are covering up the slaughter
of innocent human beings.
It won’t be easy. To the world, it is impossible, but in
Christ we know that God gives grace and strength to those who put
their hand to the plow for His sake.
We ended in prayer, packed up our signs, and prepared for the
long drive home out of the City of
Slaughter
. We prayed that hearts were touched, eyes opened, and for an
increase of laborers ministering in the killing fields.
Innocent blood is flowing through the streets of
Granite City
. It has a voice and it is crying out for justice.
