Monday- Bag n’ Tag 194 for medical research labs and cosmetic firms from past week’s carnage.

 

Tuesday- 47              MN², MO, IL       4 saves      6 pro-lifers          The saves included a mother from Minnesota , as rescuers for the pre-born held up in blustery cold weather. A man drove by the remnant, a few minutes later, he returned with hot coffee for these heroes.

 

Wednesday- 32      MO, IL              1 save      6 pro-lifers         One mother told rescuers she didn’t kill her child and left this deathcamp.

 

Thursday- midnight abortions 30              IN, TX, MO, IL      2 saves  as eight rescuers pleaded for the lives of the pre-born scheduled to die. Cars drove by and for the most part honking in support of the efforts, only a few drive-by fingers or screaming obscenities at us.

 

Friday- 42      IN, TN³, KY, MO, IL      5 saves      7 pro-lifers          Freezing rain pelted our faces that eventually turned into snow as rescuers team work and prayers **Mothers and grandmothers going inside mocked the remnant and quoted scripture as they walked inside. One mother-daughter team came back out, when asked if they saved their baby the mother replied, “Yes, she did, but you know, in the Bible in Revelations it says babies go to heaven.” “Yes it does,” we replied. “Well then, it ain’t killin’ them now is it?” she said. She then smiled and closed the car door and they drove off. Even the devil can quote scripture we concluded.

 

Saturday- 51      TN, IN, MO, IL      3 saves      40 pro-lifers           It was a beautiful day to save lives. Prayer warriors prayed as praise and worship music filled the air. Sidewalk counselors worked the alley and sidewalks interceding for life.  Bright light attracts big bugs. James 4:1-6 “What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from the desires that battle within you? You want something but don’t get it. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives…Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God….God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

            The problem outside on the sidewalk of many deathcamps is called “pride”. Professing Christians are on the sidewalk looking for recognition and attention, and if you’re not doing it their way, you’re going to hell according to them. They have a plank the size of Texas in their own eye, but they keep pointing out the speck in yours, Matthew 7:3-5. They are prideful and arrogant. The focus should be on the men and women going inside these mills and trying to save their children, but the spirit of pride has become an obstacle and a distraction, another useful tool the devil enjoys using outside these gates on his playground. It argues, it bullies, it doesn’t respect authority. It’s loud and it drives mothers and fathers inside the deathcamps into the quiet soft-spoken arms of the deathsales person.  Isn’t that an abomination in God’s eyes?

 

202 babies killed. 15 babies saved. 1607 saves since January 2000 and 22 babies have been adopted through Small Victories! 

 

 

Today for the streets report, we are going to do something different. We are going to call on all Christians in this new year of 2006 to pray and come into the streets to bring all abortion to an end. Almost 50 million children made in the image of our Lord have been slaughtered, as we approach the 33^rd year of murder in the womb.

            Yes, it is murder and those who call themselves Christians and yet do nothing to stop it, are just as guilty as the abortion industry themselves. James 4:17 “Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn’t do it, sins.” 

            Hope Clinic in Granite City , IL has killed about 400,000 children alone.

            We pray that people in Granite City and surrounding areas will arise and take a stand outside this altar of sacrifice, this high place of evil. The churches in this country are the only tool God can and will use to bring abortion to an end. Pastors and pro-life groups must come together and make this their #1 priority for 2006. We can sing all our songs and have great Bible studies and go on mission trips all over the world, but God wants us to stop the shedding of innocent blood and this must be the year to do it. There’s a mission right here at the gates off hell, the call of the mission bells is going unheeded by most in the church. When children are being slaughtered here every day, when pornography is taking over the lives of men and women, when there is sin in the camp and the stench in most churches is overwhelming. 

Many people are looking to the Supreme Court or our legislators to fight this battle. But they can’t do it. God has called the Church and Christians to be faithful and He will stop this holocaust.

             If Small Victories can help inform, equip, or help you to stop this genocide we face today let us know. But we must all get out of our cozy offices and nice surroundings and into the streets and then God will put an end to this 33 year nightmare of child-sacrifice.

            Sometimes it is very difficult for us to comprehend the magnitude of the toll that the abortion holocaust has taken over the past 33 years. When one says that over 50 million children have been slaughtered by legalized abortion since January 22, 1973 the numbers just don’t seem to register.

            We will have more than enough people in Washington D.C. , doing all that they can to plead the case of the fatherless on this 33^rd memorial of Roe v. Wade. They will be pleading with the right motive in their hearts- to bring an end to abortion, but the battle won’t be won in D.C. Indeed it cannot be won there. One cannot plead the case of the fatherless to win it in Washington , D.C. , because the Sword of the Spirit (the Word of God) is not allowed to be wielded there. The pressure to compromise God’s Word is relentless and limitless. Politics is, after all, the art of compromise.

            We are being destroyed as a nation by an enemy from within. We are being destroyed by a lie that was birthed in the very pit of hell. The lie took its physical form in the Roe v. Wade decision issued by the Supreme Court of the United States of America on January 22, 1973.

            Abortion is not a political issue, it is a Gospel issue. We have been saying this for a long time. The battle for the lives of unborn children must be won in the streets before it will ever be won in Washington , D.C. The Sword of the Spirit can still be unsheathed and wielded in the streets of America . It is only after major victories are won in the battlefields of our cities, townships, and villages that the battle to end legalized abortion will be won in Washington , D.C.

            Today the lie has become law. It is a lie that transcends every racial, ethnic, political, and geographic boundary. It is a lie that cuts across every human heart in America . It is a lie that divides us. It is a lie that is destroying us. ~Flip Benham
