tragedy from the day before at Virginia Tech was riveting our nation. It was
so hard to stand in the gap. It never becomes easy as we prayerfully remain
vigilant and witness the daily massacre of the innocents only a few feet from
the torture rooms. The weapons of choice are a scalpel, suction hose, forceps,
and scissors. A gun at this point would be more merciful to these tiny, little
babies that are being ripped apart over a period of time.
May God have mercy on those mothers and fathers and those that
participated in these premeditated murders. Many of the mothers were visibly
late-term as they stood in line to sign the death warrants out.

we drove to the City of Slaughter, we were notified of the Supreme Court’s
decision to uphold the ban on the partial-birth abortion procedure. We sent
out a press release over the phone and soon rolled up to the crime scene.
It was a bittersweet day for the death merchants, but a good day for
the pro-life groups. Everyone and their uncles were crawling out of the
woodwork to be pro-life and bask in the celebration (glory). That’s okay,
God sees it all.

The aftershocks from the Supreme Court’s ruling to uphold the
partial-birth abortion ban were being felt as we stood at these gates of hell.
Man, we were getting a cursing and numerous middle fingers from not only the
mothers and fathers walking inside this slaughterhouse to butcher their
babies, but the natives were restless and making their love for death known to
us as too numerous to count were the drive-bys screaming and cursing us for
standing in the gap for the innocent. But God is good and He is always on
time.
John and his girlfriend
were being forced to kill their baby by the girl’s mother. We spent 45
minutes talking with them. The girl’s grandmother was very supportive of
this pregnancy. She was 4 weeks
pregnant. They really didn’t want to go inside. John was very
responsible, which is a rarity in our world today. He has a good job and loves
this girl. We told them they have more going for them than most of the girls
we help. She started crying after seeing the partial-birth abortion sign we
hold. “I can’t do it.”
I met them in the alley and they thanked us and accepted our prayers
and literature. John added, “Thank
you for being so nice to us.” We high fived each other as they drove
away towards the interstate. We praised God for interceding.
The night was long as mothers were coming back out and talking with us
and changing their minds on killing their babies. Deanne
and her daughter found themselves in a place they should not be. We phoned
home and told them we would be late. We brought them in the ultrasound van and
were able to calm them down as they watched their 6
week old baby floating in the ocean of amniotic fluid within her womb.
They were excited and promised to follow-up with our resident O.B.
We packed the resource van up and headed out on the long drive home.

So disheartening to
see so many cars that returned from the previous night which indicated they
were second and third trimester babies. The family of four, grandma and
grandpa included, returned to see their grandchild ripped apart. Only in
America
…
Fifteen minutes into rescue intervention, God was working miracles. Nichole
and her mother walked into our arms crying their eyes out. They stopped and
talked with Angela and said she was 9
weeks pregnant. She was scared and asked if we could provide some help. We
handed her mother our brochure explaining all the free resources. They both
smiled and thanked us for being there.
Two young ladies from
Illinois
walked out and accepted our brochure and we walked them to their truck. They
were keeping their 18 week old baby
and thanked us and drove off.
Before we could catch our breath, another out-of-state car pulled
behind this deathcamp. A couple from
Ohio
got out and asked if I could help them. “Are
you here for hope?” “Yes,”
she nodded. “I would love to help
you,” and I handed her a brochure and began telling her of God’s plan
for them and their unborn baby. She was showing over
14 weeks. The male accomplice would have none of that. He threatened me
and I stood up to him. The pregnant girl apologized for his behavior and
filthy mouth. She then told me, “Thank
you for being so nice.”
I walked them to the corner. All the way, I kept pleading this
child’s innocence. The male was pushing her in. I told her, “We
can protect you if he’s forcing you to choose between your child and him.”
I then asked him, “Where’s her
choice?” She had tears in her eyes and she took my hand and thanked me
again, but went inside. “Jerk,”
I thought. How many times do we see the sperm donors forcing the mothers of
their children to pick and choose who gets to live and who gets to die?
Where’s the femi-nazis? Where’s NOW? I thought they were all about a
woman’s right? Oh, that’s right, only when it comes to killing a baby.
Just then, the very pregnant mother from
Iowa
walked back out. She put her sunglasses on and I walked them to their car. All
along the way, she had a worried look on her face. The hardest thing to do was
to walk back out of this killing place. “There
is nothing too big that you and the Lord can’t get through together.” She
was 28 weeks pregnant. She took
the resource materials and thanked us and drove away.
I turned and there was another twosome of girls going in. I asked if I
could help them. “Are you here for
hope?” They nodded. I said, “If
you’re here to kill a baby I can’t help you do that, but I would like to
help you with another option.” The other girl said, “It’s
her choice,” and walked in front of her. I said, “What
kind of choice does the baby get?”
The baby body parts courier rolled onto the bloody parking lot and
retrieved boxes of murdered babies and placed them in the car and drove off.

Saturdays are always a challenge. By week’s end, we are tired and
worn-out as we stand in the gap rebuilding the walls at the very gates of
hell. Our numbers increased as we brought more of our quiver to stand and help
with the rebuilding. Of course, since it’s Saturday, the opposition acting
like pro-lifers were scattered on the front sidewalk. Tom,
a professing atheist, was greeted and made welcome outside these gates. We
warned him of the religious people and Pharisees amongst us and that are not a
part of this ministry.
In between talking to the cars pulling onto the parking lot and alley,
I read through the book of Nehemiah. This is what God has
shown me with those who constantly come against God’s ministry. The
screaming man donning his fake clerical collar reminded us of
Sanballat who was leading the revolt and opposition of the rebuilding
of the walls. His pride has blinded him.
Jamie, the deathcamp guard, was fed up with his constant degrading and
condemning of the pregnant women walking in and the excoriating insults he
hurled at the homosexual deathscorts. “Man,
you’ve killed more babies with your mouth than the abortionist inside this
building,” Jamie said. He then challenged the screaming man, “How
do you expect them to ever come out of their sin when you are degrading them
and yelling at them? You wouldn’t talk to a dog like that.” Wow, even
Jamie sees through reproach outside this slaughterhouse.
He then walked back into his guard shack. Allison Hile,
the deathcamp education director, then came out to see the spectacle on the
front sidewalk and snapped their pictures.
There was a tag-team effort. Linda, another nurse and faithful sidewalk
counselor, was trying to keep up talking to the girls as they were walking
inside the deathcamp.
In between talking to the mothers, we kept our focus with a trowel in
one hand and a sword in the other, despite all the threats of failure and
destruction that the enemy heaped on us, and kept rebuilding the walls.
A young couple from
Missouri
came back out and the woman told Daniel, “I’m
still pregnant. I’m not killing my baby.” She took the brochure and
they drove off.
Linda and Rick brought us a good, used baby crib to give to Becky
who recently delivered a Small Victories save Baby
Nicole.
Nehemiah knew that a broken wall in disrepair
such as
Granite City
, as deplorable and depressed as the city is, meant that we really don’t
care about the city. Small Victories knew 14 years ago that all hell was gonna
come against them for loving this City of
Slaughter
enough to tell them the truth and to stand in the gap and rebuild the walls of
this city.
Satan hates it when we lay down our lives and are willing to die to do
whatever we can and all that we can to build and repair the walls of
salvation. Satan would love nothing more than to see
Granite City
die and waste away in it's sin. That’s why Satan sends professing Christians
outside these gates of hell, to try and tear down the walls that have been
repaired.
Sanballat, with all his evil friends,
launches a continual barrage of ridicule, slander, false accusations, fear,
and discouragement- anything, everything to get Nehemiah and those working to
stop. Each attack was personal and specific with the intent to hurt and
discourage them. And our enemy uses the same tactics against us.
But throughout the attacks, Nehemiah keeps close to God in his
relationship and keeps his eyes on the goal. He encourages the people, all the
while training them and arming them to build and fight and says, “The
God of heaven will give us success. Therefore, we His servants will arise and
build.” He then tells the enemy, “But
you have no portion, right, or inheritance…”
Being lukewarm and half-hearted, sowing discord and slander will never
repair or rebuild salvation’s walls. You’re either part of the problem or
part of the solution. All we have to do is be armed with swords and trowels,
listen for the trumpet’s warning, and keep on building. As Nehemiah said, “Our
God will fight for us.” God is looking for a few good men and
women, the Nehemiahs of our day who will say, “I
will arise and build! And Satan, you will have no part in this!”
Now who’s coming with me?
Be encouraged~ Angela
