Death Toll April 28-May 3, 2008

Reporting from the “Baby-dumping capital of the Midwest” Granite City , IL .

Once known for their towering steel mills, now known for the baby-dumping mill.

Hope Clinic- American Family Extermination Camp “destroying families one child at a time”

Severing over 400,000 mother–child relationships in their 34 year reign of terror

Sunday-Walk for Babies” annual spring fundraiser. It was a good turnout despite the weather. We got a break from the rain during the walk. Lots of passer-bys and drivers gave the walkers honks of support or thumbs up.

Monday- Bag n’ Tag 158 babies from the past week’s carnage were bagged and tagged for medical research labs, pharmaceutical and cosmetic firms. For weeks now, we have noticed the baby body parts couriers have changed their pick-up times. The light must be afflicting them.

Tuesday- midnight abortions 29    AR, KY, TX, MO, IL     6 saves with onsite ultrasounds   3 pro-lifers

Octavia came out of the abortion mill. She was going over to the hospital. Angela spoke with her and they walked over to the ultrasound van. As soon as Octavia saw her baby on the ultrasound screen she started laughing and saying, “Thank you! Thank you Jesus! I want this baby.” We exchanged phone numbers with her. Save #2- Her friend also came to the mill with her, but the mill wouldn’t do the abortion this day. She came back out and Octavia sat in the car speaking with her. A few minutes later, Octavia had her friend drive over to us and she took our brochure. She said she was going to think everything over, but for now she was keeping the baby. Octavia waved at us and whispered, “I’m gonna work on her.” They both thanked us and said they would contact us later.

Two Black American women from Arkansas came out of the mill, got in their car, and accepted a S.V. brochure as they drove off the lot. They returned a little bit later. They went back inside the mill and came out after about 10 minutes. Angela was able to talk with them about how we can help them and also shared Hannah’s testimony. The driver looked over at the passenger. It was then we noticed her swollen tummy protruding out of her jacket. We needed an intervention.

I could read this girl. She was stoic, so I placed my hand on her shoulder and prayed out loud, “Oh Heavenly Father, You know the situation, we need a touch from You. Touch this mother’s heart Lord. Let her feel her innocent baby stirring in her womb. Let her choose blessings this day and not curses, for You have plans for her to prosper. Bless her Lord. Give her peace and security. Wrap Your arms around her in the comfort of her knowing that she did the right thing in walking back out. Let her trust in You, that You will put the right people across her path as she travels back home. Guide her footsteps Lord, in Jesus’ Name we pray.”           We looked up and she had tears in her eyes. Her driver accepted another brochure and thanked us and they drove off. They never returned during our watch. Praise God!

A mother and daughter from Illinois came back out. They weren’t inside long enough to get an abortion.

Angela performed an ultrasound on Rachel who was 20 weeks pregnant with a baby boy.

One woman from Litchfield , IL stopped by and spoke with us. She asked about baby Hannah’s picture that we hold daily on the sidewalk. This woman acknowledged that since this place was built this town has gone to hell. She dreaded the move back to this deplorable town, but said there was nothing in Litchfield. She thanked us for standing in the gap and walked to her vehicle.

Angela spoke with two young girls that were walking by this mill who inquired, “What does this place do?” They glanced at the ugly signs “Eeewww.” I gave them brochures and told them how precious babies are and how Small Victories helps women and their babies. They both shared a story of a pregnant girl that stayed with them and was going to come to the abortion mill and get an abortion till her mother threatened to put her out. She ended up staying with them and keeping her baby. They both love babies, they declared. They also knew it was wrong to kill a baby.

I asked the young girls if they would pray with me, and they bowed their heads. We finished the prayer and they both gave us a hug and promised to come back and join me on the sidewalk.

Wednesday- 20      TN, MO, IL      2 saves      2 pro-lifers

Thursday- 25      CA, KY, MO, IL      4 saves      4 pro-lifers    It was a very fruitful day for baby rescuers. As soon as we set up the pregnancy resource van, Ashley and her boyfriend walked over to us in the alley and asked if we could show them a picture. After a few preliminaries we were able to show them a picture of their 36 week old baby boy. They were thrilled and very grateful. We went over follow-up instructions and resources we could help with. They thanked us and held hands as they walked back to their car. Thank you Jesus!

I couldn’t help but think of the mother Charlene from last week who came back out of this abortion mill and viewed the picture of her 24 week old grandson. She told us that the abortion mill told her daughter they could do her abortion up to 34 weeks if she wanted. “Why would they tell her that?” she asked. All we could think of was more $$$.

We no sooner disinfected the van and returned to the alley when a three-some walked out. I called over to them. The older woman said they didn’t kill. I asked if they wanted to see a picture of their baby. They followed me into the ultrasound van where the young girl broke down. Her mother and boyfriend filled me in as I scanned her swollen tummy. They were from Alton , Illinois .

I asked if they were able to see a picture of their baby and if they would like to know what they are having, “I can tell at 13 weeks.” They accepted our offer and parked behind the ultrasound van. Inside the van, Rachel started crying as she saw her baby. Angela told her, “Your baby is auditioning for its life.” They were all happy and listened to the baby’s heartbeats. They said if it’s a boy they would name him “Gabriel”.

The mother said that Rachel was looking for a sign from God not to do it. “She is still in college.” The mother said the people on the sidewalk were yelling at them and it made them mad. The mother admitted she yelled back at them. “It made us get in there faster. We know it’s wrong.” We shared Baby Hannah’s story and her picture. The mother said, “Now, what you’re doing is good. Thank you for being here.”

We went over doctors and resources. Rachel gave Angela a hug and they were all happy and thankful, and promised to keep in touch.

Waiting in the wings was Raquel. She asked if we could show her a picture of her baby. We reset everything. We noticed we were getting low on power, but God was still on the throne and soon she was able to see and hear her baby’s heartbeats. It sounded like a girl, but appeared to be a boy from the ultrasound, approx 21 weeks. She promised to follow-up and confirm with her regular doctor. We walked her to her car.

The ultrasound van was literally smoking, BAMM! Thank you Lord for the babies saved this day and those we don’t even know about. You know and that’s all that matters. Ephesians 5:1 “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.” As a mother watches a child learn to crawl, then stand, then walk, God is urging us to keep trying and cheering as we succeed.

Friday- 30      FL, MO, IL      2 saves      7 pro-lifers     It was a real yucky day as the rain and chill fell down on us. The home-schooled youth group joined our ranks as we positioned our point guards for today’s battle for life. We got a good workout in the rain trying to keep our literature dry and offering another option other than abortion to the mothers and their accomplices walking inside.

A couple from Missouri came back out and confirmed they were not killing their baby. They accepted the brochure and drove off. We kept praying in between shifts of soon-to-be killer moms going inside.

Keisha came back out and began talking with us. We noticed her protruding tummy from her sweat shirt. “I’m not gonna kill my baby,” she offered. She then told us she couldn’t talk her friend out of taking her child’s life. Keisha shared how upset she was with this pregnant friend. She has been here twice this year so far. Keisha said, “She is using it as birth control. She knows this is wrong. She has one child but keeps coming to the abortion clinic.” We gave literature to Keisha to give to her friend and we prayed with Keisha. She thanked us and said she admired what we did and would keep in touch.

The youth group was more encouraged to keep coming. God wants us to be faithful and to sow good seed.

Saturday- 35      MO, IL      2 saves    14 pro-lifers   We rolled up to the crime scene and set up our pregnancy mission outside these gates of hell. It was cold and cloudy. A small remnant showed up for the battle this day.

Praise the Lord a local pastor joined our ranks. He inquired about our ministry and our history on the sidewalk. He commented on the screaming man. “He’s not with us. He is not a part of our ministry. His actions are not helping.” “No, they aren’t.” “As a matter of fact he has killed more babies with his mouth and the venom he spews at the women. He is angry and bitter and he knows he can belittle women and get by with it.” The pastor said he was relieved we were not a part of the scream team. He promised to come back and departed to do a Jericho March around this high place.

There were six to eight deathscorts including a professor from UMSL over in St. Louis , Missouri . Arthur Stanger is a mathematics whiz .Once Arthur wore a shirt emblazoned with “SCREW BURKE”. He was referring to St. Louis ’ outspoken and staunch pro-life archbishop across the river. When he paraded with that shirt on, someone made the comment to him, “I bet you would Arthur,” as he hangs with the homosexual crowd.

Disheartedly our eyes gazed upon yet another covenant baby being killed as their getaway car had “PRAZE EM 8” personalized plates. Sad. It’s the side effects of most churches.

A young Black American man walked over to us on the sidewalk and asked to privately speak with me. He poured out his heart to me and told me how sorry he was that he thought he was helping his friends out by bringing them here. Once he heard me telling them of God’s plan for their lives and pleading mercy for that innocent baby. He was convicted, just like the getaway driver in a bank robbery. He thanked me for listening and talking to him, shook my hand, and walked back to the new smoking lounge.

A family from Missouri came back out and met us at the driveway. They rolled the window down and confirmed they were not killing their baby. They thanked us and drove off. We also noticed the black sports car screaming in-your-face decals. Moral of the message: “Virtuous women don’t use the abortion mill.”

Psalms 119:18 “Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in Your law.”

Approx. 139 babies killed. 16 babies saved. Approx. 30 pro-lifers cared enough to show up throughout the week’s massacre. 2737 saves since January 2000 and 26 babies have been adopted through Small Victories!

2 Chronicles 15:7 “But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”

How encouraging it is to hear or read of a daring rescue story. http://www.ksdk.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=145705 Last week over in St. Louis , two men, while in the vicinity of a dumpster, heard a baby’s cries and rescued this newborn from the trash and an imminent death. One man was cutting grass and another was walking in the alley by the trash dumpster when they heard what sounded like a kitten inside a dumpster full of weeds and trash.

One man moved the brush aside and saw a little hand moving. The other man reached down and moved the trash away and saw a little baby boy still covered with most of the amniotic sac and placenta and a foot long umbilical cord still attached. They called for help and an ambulance and police were dispatched and arrived in time to save this little boy. At the hospital it was determined that when he was found he was less than an hour old, but in stable condition.

Those men who listened and didn’t ignore the cries are true heroes. They rescued that newborn. Had they not, I would hate to think of how that little one would have ended up. But, somewhere a mother who recently gave birth to a little boy who was unloved, unwanted, and abandoned treated her child as if it were trash. I’m glad they found him in time. Rescuers.

But you know what? What is the difference with this situation and the scenario that plays out everyday inside the local abortion mill in Granite City just across the river from St. Louis ? Mothers premeditatedly plan the murder of their infants and hire a serial killer to remove them and discard their tiny bodies in the trash. What body parts don’t get sold to the highest bidder get a burial by sewer. “Rescue those being led to their slaughter,” Proverbs 24:11-12 gives ALL of us our marching orders. I thank God that He provides for us to rescue and rescue often. It fills our hearts with joy every time we see another life auditioning on the ultrasound screen to his or her parents.

Consider helping us or partnering with us.

Thank you Lord for unexpected blessings. The smallest often become the greatest treasures.

            Be encouraged~ Angela
