came back out and talked with Daniel. They were 6
weeks pregnant and changed their mind on the abortion. They
looked at the graphic sign and said they, “could
not do that to a baby.”
Many of the mothers looked advanced in their pregnancies. It
was disheartening to see older mothers bringing their daughters to
abort their grandchild. On the homefront, we were busy returning
several calls for help from mothers who saved their babies at the
Hope(less) mill over the weekend. We took an inventory of their
needs and strategized over the phone. Many of the mothers were from
East St. Louis
. There is such a need for help in that area.
We were thanking God for the precious babies that are being
spared in the Black American community. One day, hopefully before
their race is entirely wiped out from the combination of aids,
health disease, violence, drugs and abortion, the community leaders
and pastors will wake up and reclaim what the devil has stolen from
the Black family.

“40 Days for
Life” begins We
packed up our resource van and headed out to the City of
Slaughter
. We were looking forward to joining ranks with those dedicated
lifesavers who were assembling all across our nation to begin the
fall campaign of this 40
Days for Life, a peaceful and prayerful stand outside abortion
mills, hopefully to saves lives, change hearts, and to bring the Preborn
Holocaust to an end in our land.
Our anticipation was quickly dashed when we realized the 40
Days was a bust. The same pro-lifers that have stood for over 15
years outside this mill on a daily basis retained their
distinguished title of “Semper
Fi” (always faithful) and always the only ones showing up for
the battle.
A few mothers from the evening before returned to complete
the grisly procedure of removing their late-term babies from their
wombs. We picked up our proclaiming line and went across the river
to another mill, Planned
Barrenhood on
Forest Park
and Boyle. To no surprise, there was only one pro-lifer standing in
the gap. He updated us on the daily massacre of innocents. “It
gets pretty lonely standing by myself,” Bill, a
Vietnam
veteran, informed us. The only time he has some company is on
Saturdays when the Catholic rosary group shows up. “That’s
unfortunate, but you’re in good company. We too, are low on prayer
warriors outside the mill Bill. It is basically our family who
stands in
Granite City
,” we told him. Bill said he enjoys the quietness, no
screamers. “It’s hard to
save babies when people scream at them.” We agreed.
After we got back home we contacted the director of 40 Days
and they informed us the Springfield Diocese in
Illinois
had not registered for the campaign evidently. We thanked Mr.
Bereit’s assistant and let her know, “We
are still going forth with or without the diocese. If any group
shows up we will still be there.” She thanked us and our
ministry’s dedication.

Day 2 of 40 Days for
Life It was a
great day for Life as we set up the ultrasound outreach to the
abortion-bound mothers going inside. We began our reconnaissance
mission while a priest and woman walked the sidewalk and prayed.
We intercepted Holly
and J.R. from
Illinois
. She was 5 weeks pregnant.
She accepted our brochure and thanked us. She would be needing help.
We walked them to their car and watched them drive off. Jess
informed us a mother and daughter confirmed they did not kill their
baby and left the abortion mill before our team arrived.
Just then, we met Denise
in the alley. The priest came over and we talked with the girl. A
few minutes later, she came inside the ultrasound van where we were
able to show her a picture of her baby girl auditioning for her
life. She appeared to be approx. 24
weeks pregnant. We went over resources, contact information, and
follow-up care with her doctor. She was very grateful and thanked us
all.
Cheryl from
Illinois
pulled up to the parking lot and listened to our pleas, then walked
over to us and told us her friend was 20
weeks pregnant. She took our literature, walked over to the
passenger, and gave it to her. They talked awhile and then she
walked over to us and said they would be contacting us for help.
They were not going to go inside the abortion mill, praise God! They
thanked us for being there and we watched them drive off the lot.
Cherise, 8 weeks
from
Missouri
, walked back out and walked over to us. She accepted a brochure,
told us she was keeping her baby, and drove off the parking lot.
The saints who showed up this day were very encouraged to see
how lives are saved. They promised they would be back and bring more
to witness. Thank you Holy Spirit!

2 pro-lifers We
rolled up to the crime scene and a few spots were still open on the
bloody parking lot. As soon as the pregnancy outreach was set up, we
stood strategically around the deathcamp. There was only an
occasional outburst from the troublemakers, but we were having
better opportunities to walk and talk with the girls as they parked
their cars to go inside.
Ashley and her
friend walked back out and told us they were 6
weeks pregnant. We offered to show them an ultrasound and they
declined, but said they were keeping the baby and accepted our
literature before they pulled off the lot. They were college
students from UMSL over in
St. Louis
.
A young girl and friend from
Illinois
walked into our arms and began telling us they were not going to
kill their 8 week old baby.
We walked them to their truck and they drove off towards the
interstate. Praise God!
The LUBY
generator maintenance service van waited in the alley while Deb
Weidhardt, the new CEO of Hope(less), slowly lifted the garage
door for him to drive in. The huge generator inside the garage of
this slaughterhouse is necessary as power back-up during power
outages or storms. It’s hard to kill babies and run suction
machines without power, unless the workers inside this
slaughterhouse use their bare hands. Nothing would shock us anymore.
Another JESUS bumper
sticker was sighted up against the front sidewalk for all to see.
This flies in the face of God. A while later, a Black American woman
walked out and sat in the car listening to “rap-crap”
music blaring in her vehicle with the JESUS sticker on it. We
attempted to speak with her, but she did her best to brush off our
efforts and exhibit more rebellion against the Lord by showing us
her butterfly tattoo across her backside as she bent over at tone
point while getting out of the car, only to return back inside the
slaughterhouse.
Maybe she put the sticker on her car in an attempt to detour
car thieves, because a woman of virtue does not mock God and His
WORD. She is not vulgar and doesn’t cause a man to sin or show too
much skin. She does not mark up her body and she does not hang out
at the local abortion mill. I think the car theft theory applies in
this situation.: )
On our way home we were passed by a Veteran’s Van that
slowed down and noticed our ministry van as we rolled down the
highway. They then caught up with us and honked and gave us a double
thumbs up as they sped by.

pro-lifers Mostly
Catholics showed up this day to pray outside the slaughterhouse.
They were getting warmed up for the once-a-year Springfield Diocese
pilgrimage to
Granite City
. Plus, October is “Respect
Life” month for many.
The femi-nazi deathscorts, all four, were donning their “poor-choice”
deathscort vests. They deliberately tried to block the parking spot
where the ultrasound van sits in front of this abortion mill. We
knew it was going to be a good day!
Early on, babies were being rescued and saved. Teresa
and her friend from
Springfield
,
Illinois
walked back out and confirmed they were 6
weeks pregnant and going to keep the baby. The accepted our
brochure and left.
The rabid deathscort Krystal
White was rushing as many abortion-bound mothers inside as she
could get to. Krystal is normally pretty accommodating. Being an
elementary school teacher she works with young children. Doesn’t
she realize she is helping to murder future school children?? Today
she was full of demons and thwarting our efforts. Usually, she
allows us time to talk with them. Not today. Someone put the
pressure to her.
We also unfortunately noticed over
90% going in to kill were Black Americans. A rosary group from
Virden
,
Illinois
prayed on the front sidewalk.
A mom and daughter from
Missouri
came back out. They declined any help, but informed us they were
keeping their baby and had their own physician to follow-up with.
Approx.
126 babies killed. 10 babies saved. Approx. 52 pro-lifers cared
enough to show up throughout the weeks’ massacre. 2899 saves since
January 2000 and 26 babies have been adopted through Small
Victories!
“Who
is greatest in the
kingdom
of
Heaven
?” Jesus placed a child in the disciples’ midst and
said, “Amen,
I say to you, unless you become like a child you will not enter the
kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives such a child as this in My name
receives Me. See that you do not despise one of these little ones.
When you look into a child’s face you look into the face of
God.” Matthew
18.
We face injustice and death every morning, but we are to
administer justice. This is not an easy ministry. We don’t have
cushy offices and climate controlled settings. We are literally in
the dirty, uncomfortable trenches facing hell’s gates in
Granite City
. What we realize more and more is the detest and violence we see
against children, the least of these. There is no respect for them
in the womb or out of the womb.
As I rocked our baby daughter to sleep the other evening, I
looked in her angelic face as she drifted deeper into nigh and just
could not imagine where she would be had we not been outside this
slaughterhouse that fateful night when her drug-addicted mother was
going inside.
I gently reach down and kiss her soft cheek and my heart
warms. When we feel beaten and discouraged and we are on our last
bit of energy to keep showing up at these gates, I remember that
night and the feeling comes over me again. I would do this ministry
all over again in a heartbeat if I could save them all. “Just
one dear Lord, just one,” is our prayer each day we show up
for the battle. Let this be your prayer as you read this.
We appreciate prayers and support. We recently received an
encouraging word from a man who resides in
Spain
. He follows our website and his thoughts and insight were a much
needed answer to prayer. “Therefore
encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are
doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11.
We may never know that lives that have been touched.
Be encouraged~ Angela
